£12.90 - £13.30 an hour

Job Elements

• A great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a busy production team, providing support to help maintain and develop the site and equipment.


• Assist in some manual machine operations.


• Assist in keeping a clean and well organised site.


• Assist Line Manager with maintenance of machinery and equipment


• Carry out ‘Handy man’ site and equipment alterations


• Assist in installation of new machinery


• Semi-skilled machine operations and as second man on Laser and bending operations


• Drive FLT, unloading steel delivery vehicles, storing materials and maintaining housekeeping standards


• Some shop floor labouring, cleaning and housekeeping duties

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in operating and/or maintaining machinery


• Practical background with experience using hand tools and DIY


• Counterbalance FLT licence an advantage


• NVQ in mechanical or electrical subject an advantage


• Computer literate


• Previous overhead gantry training an advantage


• Be physically fit (due to manual handling and physical nature of the job)
