Role: Production and Filling Line Operative

Location: Newhaven

Hours: Initially Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm while temporary
Permanent shifts: Early shift 5:00am - 1:00pm or late shift 1:00pm - 9:00pm

Pay: £13.45 per hour AM shift / £14.80 per hour PM shift

Contract: Temp to perm

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Production and Filling Line Operative to join one of our longstanding clients, a busy fragrance manufacturing business, in Newhaven.

This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with experience in production, manufacturing, machine operating, filling line work, compounding, mixing, blending, packing or warehouse operations.

The Requirements:

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, warehouse or factory work


• Good attention to detail and awareness of quality standards


• Flexible and proactive approach to work


• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines


• Strong communication and teamwork skills


• Positive attitude and willingness to learn


• Forklift experience beneficial but not essential

The Role:

• Carry out formulation and compounding duties


• Operate and monitor production machinery


• Work on the filling line, including cleaning down before new fragrances are filled


• Operate labelling machinery


• Complete end-of-line duties including weighing and strapping boxes


• Support stock control and quality checks


• Identify and report quality issues


• Keep the factory clean, organised and safe


• Clean spillages safely and promptly


• Operate a forklift and vacuum lifter once trained
