To further grow our data governance practice, we are currently looking for a skilled Product Owner.
Your responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data governance products and solutions.
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define use cases, and translate business needs into actionable tasks.
- Data Governance Implementation:
+ Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through consistent monitoring and improvement practices.
+ Oversee the implementation of data stewardship roles and responsibilities across the organization.
- Stakeholder Management:
+ Facilitate communication and collaboration between data owners, data stewards, and other key stakeholders.
+ Provide regular updates and reports on data governance activities, progress, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Project Management:
+ Identify and mitigate risks associated with data governance initiatives.
+ Coordinate with external vendors and partners as needed.
- Training and Support:
+ Provide ongoing support and guidance to data stewards and other stakeholders.
+ Foster a culture of data governance and accountability throughout the organization.
Your qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or similar role, preferably within a data\-centric environment.
- Strong understanding and interest of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Purview, …).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast\-paced environment.
- Master’s degree in the field of Informatics, Business Economics, Civil Engineering or Information Management;
- Fluent in English and French/Dutch
