As a Product Area Manager, you will take ownership of a clearly defined product area within our overall product portfolio. You will develop and maintain the vision, strategy, and roadmap for your product area, ensuring that market, customer, and company requirements are translated into concrete initiatives and features.

You will manage a prioritized and transparent backlog and work closely with the development team to continuously maximize the business value of your product area. In doing so, you combine strategic product thinking with close operational collaboration within agile development teams.

You will collaborate closely with other Product Managers to shape the overarching product strategy and ensure a consistent overall product experience. At the same time, you will work together with Human Factors Engineers to guarantee excellent usability and user guidance.

A deep understanding of end users and customers in the military and law enforcement domains — especially in the context of airborne platforms — will help you translate real operational requirements into valuable product features.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a defined product area.


• Ensure a prioritized and transparent backlog for your product area.


• Structure and prioritize initiatives, features, and user stories.


• Translate market, customer, and mission requirements into actionable product initiatives.


• Communicate the product value proposition to customers and the market by creating product materials in collaboration with Marketing and Sales.


• Work closely with the development team and Scrum Master during planning, refinement, and review sessions.


• Collaborate with other Product Managers to further develop the overall product strategy.


• Partner with Human Factors Engineers to optimize usability and user experience.


• Align with internal stakeholders regarding requirements, releases, and priorities.


• Analyze customer feedback and market requirements to continuously enhance the product area.


• Monitor relevant product KPIs and continuously maximize business value.

• Experience in product management, ideally in a software, SaaS, or technology\-driven environment.


• Experience in defense, public sector, or safety\-critical environments is a plus.


• Veterans are welcome — operational experience or a military background is considered a strong advantage.


• Strong understanding of end users in the military and law enforcement domains, ideally in the context of airborne platforms.


• Understanding of agile development methodologies (e.g. Scrum); Scrum Product Owner or Product Management certifications are a plus.


• Basic technical understanding of software products and platform architectures.


• Ability to clearly structure requirements and prioritize them based on business value.


• Passion for building products that provide operators and soldiers with powerful tools for real\-world missions.


• Interest in deeply understanding real use cases, missions, and operational scenarios.


• High level of personal drive, strong ownership mentality, and a pronounced growth mindset.


• Clear, focused, and scalable communication skills in both German and English.


• Ability to collaborate efficiently in both synchronous and asynchronous environments.


• Experience working with generative AI and agent\-based tools (e.g. Codex, Claude Code/Cowork, OpenClaw) is a plus.
