Accountabilities:

As Product Manager for Internal Billing Tools, you’ll own the billing product roadmap and drive improvements across workflows, automation, controls, and operational processes.

  • Own and prioritize the roadmap for billing workflows, balancing risk, compliance, scalability, and immediate operational needs.

  • Translate complex enterprise and internal stakeholder requirements into a clear product vision and prioritized initiatives.

  • Conduct discovery with Finance, Support, Sales, Partner Operations, and external partners to identify billing lifecycle issues and failure modes.

  • Validate and implement automation opportunities that reduce manual work across quota management, billing account setup, reconciliation, and billing corrections.

  • Translate regulatory requirements, including SOX and GDPR/DSR, into practical product controls and workflows.

  • Write concise PRDs, user stories, and requirements for internal billing consoles, APIs, and reconciliation pipelines.

  • Define and implement billing-specific RBAC and IAM models that support secure, least-privilege access.

  • Partner with Engineering and SRE teams on data pipelines, APIs, system reliability, and technical architecture.

  • Leverage AI and automation tools to reduce operational effort and minimize human error.

  • Align Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Partner Operations around compliant and auditable billing processes.

  • Define and own OKRs and operational metrics covering billing health, reconciliation gaps, partner onboarding time, and manual task reduction.

  • Establish operational SLAs and runbooks for billing incidents, supporting high system uptime and data integrity.

Requirements

You’ll bring strong product management experience combined with deep knowledge of billing or financial systems and the ability to operate effectively across technical and business functions.

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, with a focus on financial systems, billing, payments, or complex back-office operations.

  • Proven experience delivering automation that has materially reduced manual operational effort.

  • Experience working in B2B or enterprise environments, ideally involving reseller or partner-based billing models.

  • Strong understanding of billing architectures, including invoicing, ledger reconciliation, multi-tenant chargebacks, and pricing models.

  • Technical fluency to collaborate effectively with Engineering and SRE teams on RBAC/IAM, APIs, and data pipelines.

  • Ability to use SQL and analytics to investigate operational issues and measure billing integrity.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate priorities across Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Operations.

  • Ability to translate complex compliance, financial, and revenue requirements into clear technical product specifications.

  • Strong customer empathy and a focus on building internal tools that make Operations and Support teams more efficient.

  • Structured, analytical, and outcome-oriented approach to product development.

  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and fast-moving environments while maintaining clarity and prioritization.
