Product Manager
To confidently own the delivery and execution of all products within your destination ownership. To protect and develop the depth and breadth of a sustainable product pipeline that will drive business growth, whilst achieving the overall business margin and passengers for your destinations. Collaborating and creating a strong internal working relationship with the contracts manager to drive products that deliver within business KPIs
Accountabilities:
· Manage the briefing of all new products to contract, managing expectations around deadlines and budgets
· To protect and develop a sustainable product pipeline that will drive business growth to include evolving new products within your specific regions
· Develop and maintain internal relationships with a jointly agreed vision and strategy.
· Nurture agreements with contracts and cruise to negotiate industry leading rates and unique products.
· Monitor competitors and seek strategic initiatives to drive incremental market share for Imagine.
· Agree and take ownership of processes with the Operational team to ensure contracted products are operationally viable and provide an excellent customer journey that achieve business KPI’s
· Review Customer Feedback and to look at ways to improve your products and the customer journey
· Understand the pricing strategy of all products, reviewing year on year and recent trading trends, including competitor and cruise line pricing whilst ensuring that margins and volumes associated with each contracted product are fully reviewed to achieve business KPI’s
· Create comprehensive product briefs to relay key and important information to key stakeholders
· To be the product escalation in a trading and sales environment and to be present in any fundamental meetings
· Work closely with the trading, product support, contracting, sales and marketing teams to ensure capacities and new products are handed over in a timely manner
· Responsible for your Destinations margin and ROI targets as agreed with the business, reviewed with your line manager
· To confidently pitch new products to the team and to the wider senior management team, presenting facts, any historical data, and any rate suggestions
· ensure that all key documents are kept up to date and all deadlines are kept on top of and delivered upon
· To confidently own the delivery of all products from start to end, including the operational sign off, to own the hand over any new products in a timely manner to the Sales team, clearly tracking the products progress through its test phase and reviewing the performance with the contracts manager until the product has been signed off by trading
· To be fully aware and on top of key competitor activity, to be signed up to all competitor e\-shots and to regularly review all marketing via press, digital and social activity to stay ahead and on top of the competition
· To confidently resolve problems and or suggest solutions to problems
· To support any product and distribution opportunities that the business requires
Qualifications/ skills/ experience / knowledge
· A passion for tourism worldwide
· Be able to adapt to internal processes and relay complex information in a concise way to peers/contracting executives
· Experience in travel
· To enjoy working in a fast\-paced environment and the ability to remain focused when under pressure whilst still producing great work
· Strong pro\-active, dynamic, passionate and a team player.
· Experience of working in a fast\-paced environment and able to deliver under pressure
· To confidently present product theories with a resilient attitude towards feedback
· Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities. Able to balance future planning with fast\-moving and high\-pressure trading needs which deliver to the timescales agreed.
· verbal and written communication skills plus excellent numeric ability
· Excellent attention to detail, innovative thinker, and creative problem solver
· The confidence to make sound decisions, able to take ownership providing solutions to problems
· Ability to undertake travel abroad when required by the business
· Embrace change when new strategies are delivered by the business.
· Ensure the highest level of customer service provided to deliver to being customer first
· Excellent knowledge of the cruise market and competitor strategies.
