Accountabilities
- Own the core Editor experience end-to-end, from identifying and framing problems through concept development, interface design, implementation, and product launch.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to define and rapidly deliver features that increase content creation, generations, and exports.
- Create high-quality, production-ready interfaces for editing and creation tools, with a strong focus on speed, usability, clarity, and user outcomes.
- Expand creation capabilities across multiple content formats, including advertising, images, video, email, and display.
- Design intuitive and trustworthy AI-powered editing workflows that enhance users' creative capabilities and make complex interactions feel simple.
- Work closely with engineers throughout implementation, reviewing builds and refining designs to ensure the final product meets a high quality standard.
- Conduct user research to uncover meaningful problems, validate solutions, and continuously improve usability and product clarity.
- Use customer and product insights to make informed design decisions while balancing research with the need for fast execution and learning.
- Contribute to and evolve the design system, including patterns, components, and foundational design principles as the product scales.
- Take ownership of the product area, helping define not only how features work and look, but also which problems are worth solving and why.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing digital products, ideally within SaaS or complex workflow-driven editing and content creation environments.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design thinking, particularly around creation workflows, speed, usability, and measurable product impact.
- A strong builder mindset and genuine enthusiasm for creating tools that help people produce high-quality content more efficiently.
- Excellent interaction and visual design skills, with the ability to make sophisticated creation tools feel intuitive, powerful, and easy to use.
- Strong product intuition and the ability to work autonomously, identifying opportunities that can meaningfully improve product usage without over-researching every decision.
- Comfortable working through rapid iterations, testing ideas, learning from usage, and continuously refining features based on real-world feedback.
- Proven experience collaborating closely with engineers and working effectively within a fast-moving product development environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including using it to explore concepts, communicate design intent, and contribute to evolving design systems.
- Strong curiosity about artificial intelligence and an interest in designing AI-powered products and new interaction models for creative workflows.
- A workflow-oriented mindset, with a deep understanding of how users move from an initial idea to a finished, exported asset.
- Comfortable prioritizing speed of execution and learning while maintaining strong design judgment and a high bar for usability.
