You will be responsible for executing purchasing strategies, driving supplier performance, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to support operational and business objectives.As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for: • Managing procurement activities and purchase order execution for assigned suppliers.
- Driving on-time delivery performance and ensuring materials are available to meet business requirements.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and serving as the primary point of contact for procurement-related activities.
- Identifying and resolving supply chain challenges, escalating issues when necessary, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
- Collaborating with planning, engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure seamless order execution.
- Monitoring supplier performance and implementing improvement plans to enhance delivery, quality, and cost performance.
- Ensuring compliance with company sourcing policies, contractual requirements, and procurement procedures.
- Supporting negotiations related to pricing, lead times, and commercial terms where applicable.
- Analyzing procurement data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supplier management processes.
- Managing multiple suppliers and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Keeping internal stakeholders informed of supplier performance, delivery risks, delays, and mitigation plans.
- Demonstrate expertise in managing suppliers of complex, long-lead-time, and high-value products.
- Possess strong stakeholder management and supplier relationship skills.
- Have experience coordinating multiple suppliers and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Be skilled in problem-solving, negotiation, and driving supplier performance improvements.
- Have strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in procurement and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence across functions.
- Be comfortable working independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
- Have a continuous improvement mindset and strong commercial acumen.
- Be willing to travel to supplier locations as required.
