Procurement Officer

Location: Carlow , Co Carlow

Reports To: Production Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Procurement Officer to join our commercial construction team. This role is ideal for someone currently working in office administration, accounts administration, project support, customer service, or a similar office\-based role who is ready to take the next step in their career.

You will be responsible for ordering materials and hired equipment, tracking deliveries, managing supplier communication, and maintaining accurate procurement records using Airtable. Full training on our systems and processes will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and purchase construction materials and hire equipment.

  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and assist with cost comparisons.

  • Raise and manage Purchase Orders.

  • Track deliveries and coordinate logistics with suppliers and site teams.

  • Monitor equipment hire periods and arrange returns.

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier communications, and documentation in Airtable.

  • Assist with budget tracking and invoice matching.

  • Resolve delivery issues and supplier queries.

  • Prepare regular procurement updates for project management.
About You

We would especially like to hear from candidates who are currently working in office administration, accounts administration, project support, logistics, or a similar administrative role and are looking for a new challenge with career progression.

You will have:

  • Strong organisational and time\-management skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Good communication and relationship\-building skills.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and digital systems (Airtable experience is an advantage but not essential).

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
