Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our procurement operations and drive excellence across our healthcare supply chain. In this pivotal role, you will oversee sourcing activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the timely acquisition of quality materials and services. Your expertise will help optimize procurement processes, enforce contract compliance, and support manufacturing and production goals.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence cost efficiencies, enhance supplier performance, and contribute to the overall success of our organization’s supply chain management. You will regularly attend regional care shows and demonstrations to list and register our preferred suppliers.
Work with the carehome manager to have the list of inventory for personal\-centre care and work with the small volume and large volume procurements. You will also work to match offers and leased equipment both regionally and internationally.
Duties
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives, focusing on sourcing, category management, and supply chain identification
- Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
- Manage procurement activities using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to streamline purchasing workflows and materials management.
- Oversee supplier management programs, including supplier evaluation, root cause analysis of supply issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with UK healthcare OEMs and suppliers from UK/US manufactured and logistics teams to coordinate production planning, inventory levels, and logistics operations in accordance with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
- Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (CQC), and company policies during all procurement processes.
- Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities, evaluate supplier capabilities, and mitigate risks within the supply chain.
- Lead contract management efforts by drafting, reviewing, and maintaining contractual agreements to safeguard organizational interests.
- Perform category management to optimize spend across different procurement categories while ensuring quality and cost\-effectiveness.
- Monitor procurement KPIs related to pricing, quality management, delivery performance, and supplier reliability to drive continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in procurement management within manufacturing or supply chain environments.
- Extensive knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for procurement operations.
- Strong background in contract negotiation, contract management, and sourcing strategies.
- Understanding of leasing and international procurement exercises.
- Familiarity with MRP systems, production planning tools, and logistics coordination.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and conducting root cause analysis for supply disruptions or quality issues.
- Demonstrated ability to lead category management initiatives while optimizing costs across multiple procurement categories.
