Procurement & Finance Analyst
Role Summary
We are looking for a commercially minded Procurement \& Finance Analyst to support purchasing, supplier management, spend analysis and finance across a growing multi\-site care group.
This is a varied role combining procurement, buying support, commercial analysis and operational reporting. The successful candidate will help ensure homes are purchasing effectively, suppliers are challenged appropriately and management teams have clear visibility of costs and spend trends.
The role requires someone who is analytically strong but also practical and commercially confident, with the ability to build relationships while constructively challenging suppliers and internal stakeholders where needed.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement \& Buying
- Support day\-to\-day purchasing and buying activities across multiple homes
- Obtain quotations and source products/services from suppliers
- Compare pricing, quality and value to support purchasing decisions
- Build effective supplier relationships while challenging pricing and service levels where appropriate
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and standardisation
- Support management of supplier contracts and renewals
- Assist with procurement projects and supplier reviews
- Work with operational teams to ensure purchasing remains commercially controlled and aligned to budgets
- Produce spend analysis and procurement reporting
- Analyse cost trends, variances and operational performance data
- Work with large data sets to identify trends, anomalies and commercial insights
- Support budget holders with visibility of expenditure
- Assist with month\-end reporting and financial analysis
- Support wider finance processes and reporting activities as required
- Help improve financial and operational reporting processes
- Support development of procurement controls and approval processes
- Assist with implementation and improvement of purchasing/reporting systems
- Help automate reporting and reduce manual administration
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of procurement and finance data
- Support continuous improvement across finance and procurement processes
Essential
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups and data analysis
- Experience working with large data sets and producing meaningful analysis
- Commercial awareness and analytical thinking
- Confident communicator with ability to challenge suppliers professionally
- Organised with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Good problem\-solving skills
- Experience in procurement, buying or supplier management
- Experience in finance or operational analysis
- Experience with Power BI, SQL or reporting systems
- Experience in multi\-site or operational businesses
