Procurement and Stock Control Assistant

The Procurement \& Stock Control Assistant will support the Procurement \& Stock Manager in the day\-to\-day management of purchasing, supplier coordination, stock control, and system administration within 4PS Business Central.
This is a fast\-paced, hands\-on role requiring strong attention to detail, organisation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across procurement and warehouse operations. Weekly travel between our facilites in Carlow and Arklow are a requirement of the role.
Key Responsibilities Procurement Support* Assist in raising purchase requisitions via internal requisition logs
- Issue purchase orders to suppliers in line with company procedures
- Follow up with suppliers on order confirmations, pricing, and delivery dates
- Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing agreements, and lead times
- Support supplier communication, including delivery bookings and queries
- Ensure all goods receipts are processed accurately through Business Central
- Support management of stock levels to avoid shortages or excess stock
- Assist in maintaining structured and organised warehouse systems
- Help identify slow\-moving or obsolete stock
- Ensure accuracy of item master data (descriptions, barcodes, units, etc.)
- Support barcode generation and labelling processes (CODE128 format)
- Assist in report generation for stock, purchasing, and supplier performance
- Assist in resolving delivery discrepancies and damaged goods issues
- Support implementation of improved stock control processes and layouts
- Help ensure correct labelling and identification of all materials
- Assist in reporting and KPI tracking for procurement and stock performance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and logistics
- Provide general administrative support to the Procurement \& Stock Manager
