Comprising 1,650 researchers spread across 14 Research Centres around the world, our Global R\&D team aims to continuously improve the quality of steel and its manufacturing processes. This involves investigating and developing disruptive technologies, reducing the carbon footprint of steel, and optimizing costs while maintaining uncompromising quality. The team's strong multicultural diversity, with over 30 nationalities, offers international experience and makes it possible to meet global needs.

The Software Factory (RDSF), based in Fos\-sur\-Mer (France), is a lab part of ArcelorMittal Global R\&D. Our mission is to transform research innovations into robust industrial digital solutions that create value across ArcelorMittal's worldwide operations. We work closely with R\&D experts, production plants, and digital teams to design, develop, deploy, and maintain advanced applications supporting process optimization, quality improvement, sustainability, and operational excellence.

The RDSF IronMaking team develops and maintains an extensive ecosystem of \+15 industrial solutions connected to real\-time data, supporting Blast Furnaces, DRI, and Electric Arc Furnaces processes.

Your role

We are looking to onboard a high\-performing and innovation\-driven profile to ensure continuity while accelerating our digital transformation roadmap.

You should demonstrate strong capabilities to:

  • Design scalable and resilient industrial digital platforms, contributing to the standardization and evolution of our Global R\&D ecosystem

  • Develop, tune and optimize advanced models (physics\-based, Machine Learning and AI), leveraging data\-driven approaches to enhance process performance

  • Play a key role in the delivery of next\-generation expert systems (EAF, BF \& DRI), aligned with our mid\-term strategic roadmap and digitalization ambitions

  • Integrate and deploy cutting\-edge digital technologies within real\-time, high\-demand industrial environments, ensuring reliability and operational excellence
This role requires a strong innovation mindset, excellent cross\-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to translate complex industrial challenges into digital solutions with high business value.

Your profile

  • You hold a Master's degree in Digital Solutions design, Numerical modeling.

  • A scientific background would be an asset.

  • You have expertise in software architecture \& design (on\-prem, cloud) and in DotNet environments.

  • You have good Programming skills (C\+\+, C\#, Angular, Python). Experience with scientific languages (Fortran, matlab) could be a plus.

  • You are fluent in English.

  • You are innovative, curious and results oriented.

  • You have excellent social skills to work in project teams within a multi\-cultural environment.

  • You are able to travel worldwide.
