Process Assistant

At Sopra Steria, within our Transformative Business Services (TBS) team, we’re looking for Administrators to support our busy recruitment function working with high‑profile Government clients. You’ll play a key part in delivering a smooth, professional experience for candidates and stakeholders, while building strong relationships and keeping things running efficiently behind the scenes.
This is a 12\-month fixed term contract and follows a hybrid working model. You will be based in our Newport office two days per week, on Monday and Tuesday, with the remaining days worked from home.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing high\-volume recruitment activity in a fast\-paced environment, supporting candidates through processes such as online testing, allocations, medical fitness checks and interview scheduling.
- Supporting recruitment campaigns by communicating with successful candidates about start dates, training arrangements and next steps.
- Acting as a first point of contact for candidates and stakeholders, handling inbound queries by phone and email in a professional and helpful way.
- Processing work in line with agreed procedures, business rules and scripts, meeting defined quality standards.
- Maintaining accurate and up\-to\-date records on databases and manual systems to support audit requirements.
- Planning and prioritising your workload to ensure deadlines are met, escalating queries where appropriate and identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and follow defined processes.
- Experience working in a fast\-moving, structured, team\-based environment.
- A customer\-focused approach, with confidence in delivering a high\-quality, professional service.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
Employment Type: Full‑time, Fixed Term Contract (12 months).
Location: Newport – hybrid working, two days per week in the office.
Security Clearance Level: SC.

Salary: £26,298 per annum.
