An exciting opportunity has opened to lead the UK Commercial Potato Procurement Programme growth agenda, through the development and implementation of a sustainable PEP\+ aligned potato sourcing strategy, that drives transformational productivity and sets up the potato supply value chain for future growth and success.

Responsibilities:

• PEP\+ aligned potato procurement including commercial negotiations, agreements, supply delivery and optimisation with UK suppliers, including execution of all legal contracts and financial cost management and reporting aspects


• AOP and PSP Plan processes for UK potatoes, identifying and delivering transformational productivity and cash\-flow initiatives


• Lead the Potato Seed Supply Planning for the UK


• Reporting up\-to\-date and accurate financial models to report financial forecasts at key reporting milestones; AOP, PSP and monthly financial reporting vs AOP


• Apply Global Control Standards in the processes, comply with GP Policy and other applicable policies as periodically updated and communicated, and ensure correct execution and documentation of controls


• Ensure all UK PC plants are seamlessly supplied with Potatoes to the correct quantity and quality 24/7


• Manage the relationships with UK suppliers through periodic reviews, key focus on managing supply metrics, forecasting and storage costs, mitigating risks and effective crop planning.


• Responsible to provide the business every period with a UK potato scorecard of Cost, Quality \& Service KPIs, and keep all key customers and stakeholders up\-to\-date with developments in potatoes through the year, and ensure continual alignment on performance and programmes


• Supplier payments, settlements and pre\-payment processes, ensuring accurate execution, timely query resolution and compliance with financial controls

• Commercial Awareness: requires sound commercial competence \& numeracy – must be comfortable with complex financial models and be nimble with figures


• Interpersonal Skills: must have ability to successfully work cross\-functionally with internal customers and stakeholders, but also to maintain and develop relationships with supplier base and external organisations


• IT Literacy: must be comfortable and able with computers, especially with navigating PGT/ACM data, compiling and managing large Excel spreadsheets, and able to present results and plans clearly using Powerpoint, KPI reports etc


• Influencing Skills: Must be able to effectively align and motivate internal key contact groups and supplier base to support the commercial, quality and service platforms and projects


• Demonstrated track record of idea generation and achieving goals and timelines


• Functional technical and/or operational knowledge of PC plants and/or potatoes
