Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive – Birmingham

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied caseload of private client matters while working in a supportive and ambitious team. Responsibilities will include:

Essential Duties:

• Drafting wills and trusts


• Preparing Probate Applications


• Advising on and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)


• Court of Protection applications and advising elderly/vulnerable clients


• Managing both contentious and non-contentious probate cases


• Drafting deeds of variation and advising on gifts


• Estate and trust administration (small and large estates)


• Liaising with the Probate Registry, Land Registry, OPG, Solicitors and other third parties

Desirable Duties:

• Advising on trusts for pension and life insurance policies


• Inheritance Tax planning and asset protection strategies


• Advising on elderly client care issues and future planning


• Working with IFAs, accountants and internal teams on joint projects

Long-term, the role offers the opportunity to progress into a Head of Department position, including supervising and managing a team.

About You

You will bring:

• Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 2+ years PQE in private client law


• Strong experience across wills, probate, LPAs, trusts and estate administration


• Solid academic background and a proven track record of success


• A good understanding of legal practice, client care and ethical obligations


• Ambition, commitment and the drive to develop professionally within a growing firm

On Offer

• Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (DOE)
