Our collaborative and design-led approach enables us to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions across a wide variety of complex and large-scale developments.As part of our continued growth, we are looking to strengthen our Building Services team with the appointment of a Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer.

The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take on a senior role within a collaborative MEP team. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality mechanical designs while supporting project leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to client relationships.The role offers a balance between technical delivery, project leadership, and team development, with clear progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of Building Services systems across a range of projects


• Deliver technically robust solutions from concept through to detailed design


• Take ownership of project elements, ensuring delivery on time and within budget


• Support and mentor junior engineers and technicians


• Collaborate closely with electrical, civil, and architectural teams on multidisciplinary schemes


• Attend client meetings and contribute to maintaining strong relationships


• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practice


• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation across the team

About You

• Proven experience in a Building Services / MEP consultancy environment


• Strong background in mechanical design (HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation systems)


• Experience working on a range of project types and values


• Ability to manage workload independently and contribute to project delivery


• Strong communication and collaboration skills


• Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members (especially at Principal level)


• Chartered status (or working towards) is desirable
