Principal Paediatric Oncology Pharmacist
Job overview
As a result of the expansion of our team of pharmacists and the reconfiguration of the service, an opportunity exists to join a pro\-active, well respected and forward\-thinking Pharmacy Oncology Team as a specialist Oncology Paediatric Pharmacist delivering high quality patient care and service to our patients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist who is interested in consolidating their clinical and managerial expertise in the areas of Paediatric Oncology. The team already provides and has a well\-established service for haematology and oncology.
You will have experience in oncology, haemato\- oncology and /or paediatric preferably will have some previous management experience, including service improvement/ development. You will be able to work independently, manage your own workload and have experience in managing / supporting staff.
The post is based at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital where the paediatric service is sited.
Main duties of the job
Key activities include:
- Using your specialist knowledge to provide support for the Paediatric Oncology Service
- Working as part of the multi\-disciplinary team to implement changes and develop new procedures and services.
- Pre\-assessing patients, reviewing test results and assessing their safety to proceed to treatment.

Fordcombe Hospital, near Tunbridge Wells, became part of the Trust in October 2024\. Specialising in planned care, it offers two operating theatres, 28 inpatient and day\-care beds, diagnostic services (X\-ray, MRI, CT, and endoscopy), and consultation/treatment rooms.
