About the Opportunity
Amentum is the Nuclear Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield Ltd under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). PPP is an exciting model to work in with Four world class organisations who have come together as one team, to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.
The programme arrangement is set to deliver \~£7bn worth of major projects creating a lasting legacy through the long\-term partnerships.
The Role
amentum now has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Principal CS\&A Engineer to join the team in Birchwood, Warrington.
As a Principal CS\&A Engineer your responsibilities could include:
- Leading a team of CS\&A engineers and architects in the definition, implementation and delivery of specified functional works that achieves safety, functional and business requirements.
- Key role holder within the Engineering team on the project.
- Delivery of the civil, structural, and architectural design.
- Manage the interface to and between key Delivery Partners and the design team.
- Understanding of the commercial implications of products, scope and packages
- Delivery of substantiation and other approvals.
- Risk identification with proposed resolution / mitigation.
- Production of Schedule and identification of key milestones.
- Develop deliverables list and format (drawings, specifications, reports, BIM etc.)
- Higher Education Qualification in Engineering (or equivalent) subject\- MEng (preferred)
- Appropriate (Engineering or Scientific) Institution Membership\- Chartered Engineer
- Background engineering experience demonstrating a record of successful delivery including recent positions influencing professional engineers and guiding technical personnel
- Experience of working within a regulated and quality assured system (preferably nuclear) in roles where professional judgement is the key attribute
