Year 1/2 Teacher

Start Date: September 2026

Duration: Until Christmas (with potential to extend)

Location: DN9, Doncaster area

Contract Type: Full-time

Pay: £160+ per day

Reed Education are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in the DN9 area to recruit a dedicated Year 1/2 Teacher to join their team from September.

This is a full-time position initially until Christmas, where you will take on full class responsibility for a mixed Year 1/2 class.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience or confidence teaching within Key Stage 1 (Year 1/2)

  • Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum

  • Proven experience delivering phonics (Read Write Inc. preferred)

  • Ability to take on full class responsibility, including planning, marking and assessment

  • Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment

  • A proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic teaching style
