Primary Teaching Assistant (trainee)

Location: Doncaster
Pay: £92.56 per day
Start Date: September 2026

Reed Education are pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity for aspiring Teaching Assistants to gain hands-on classroom experience in schools across Doncaster. This role is designed for individuals looking to take their first step into education, with a range of short-term placements available to help you build confidence, develop key skills and explore working in different school environments.

Whether you have previously worked with children or come from a care or support work background, this role provides a supportive introduction to life in schools. You will work alongside experienced teaching staff, supporting pupils with their learning and contributing to a positive and engaging classroom environment.

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities, supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, and helping to create a safe and inclusive learning space. These placements offer invaluable experience and are an ideal pathway into more long-term or permanent roles within education.

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, adaptable and genuinely passionate about supporting children. A positive attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn are essential to succeed in this role.
