Primary School Teacher (Year 5/6) – Full Time

Rayleigh, Essex

Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school community in Rayleigh, teaching a Year 5/6 mixed class on a full-time basis from September.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire and engage pupils in their final years of primary education, preparing them for a successful transition to secondary school.

About the Role

• Full-time class teacher for a Year 5/6 class


• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum


• Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment


• Support pupils’ academic progress as well as their personal development


• Work collaboratively with colleagues, leadership, and parents

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential


• Experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2 is desirable


• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment expectations


• Excellent classroom management and communication skills


• A creative, proactive and nurturing approach to teaching

• A supportive and friendly staff team


• Well-behaved pupils who are eager to learn
