SEN Teaching Assistant – Greenwich
Location: Greenwich, London
Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay Rate: £85 – £110 per day (dependent on experience)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Greenwich. You will support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop key skills, and thrive in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons

  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

  • Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs

  • Help manage behaviour positively and effectively

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and support staff

  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers where required

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (desirable)

  • A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) are advantageous
