<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated<strong> Senior Consulting Lead</strong> to join dunnhumby’s Price &amp; Promotions team on a permanent basis. This role will be pivotal in supporting the ongoing Delivery of Tesco UK Promotional workplan and strategy.<br><br>You will act as a trusted consultant to Tesco’s internal teams; including but not limited to: Central Planning, Tradeplanning, Store Format and Product teams to help shape the future of promotions through data-driven insights and collaborative implementation. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of retail strategy, data science, and product innovation, delivering measurable impact for one of the UK’s largest retailers.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p><strong>Consulting &amp; Strategy Development</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Partner with Tesco’s Product, Commercial, and Promotions Capability teams to define and deliver the Promotions vision.</li>
<li>Provide strategic guidance on promotions planning, measurement, and optimisation using dunnhumby’s data science and analytics capabilities.</li>
<li>Translate complex business challenges into actionable solutions and product features.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Solution Design &amp; Implementation</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with dunnhumby’s Product, Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams to co-develop and test new promotions solutions.</li>
<li>Support the design and rollout of enhancements to Tesco’s in-house promotions platform.</li>
<li>Lead workshops and discovery sessions to gather requirements and validate solution design.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Stakeholder Engagement</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Build strong relationships across Tesco and dunnhumby teams, acting as a bridge between commercial needs and technical capabilities.</li>
<li>Influence decision-making through compelling storytelling and evidence-based recommendations.</li>
<li>Champion change management and adoption of new processes and tools.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Measurement &amp; Insight</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support the development of robust measurement frameworks to assess promotional effectiveness.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in promotions strategy.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Skills &amp; Experience</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience in retail consulting, promotions strategy, or product implementation within a data-driven environment.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of retail pricing and promotions, ideally within the UK grocery sector.</li>
<li>Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.</li>
<li>Experience working in cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Science, and Commercial.</li>
<li>Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity in complex programmes.</li>
<li>Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into strategic insights.</li>
<li>Familiarity with dunnhumby tools and methodologies is a plus.</li>
</ul>
