Mercedes\-Benz Financial Services is a crucial pillar of the Mercedes\-Benz Group, playing a central role in our global financial services business. We provide a comprehensive range of automotive financial services, including finance, lease, and insurance solutions for Mercedes\-Benz car and van customers and dealers. Our offerings extend to banking services and innovative mobility solutions, designed to support the sales of the Mercedes\-Benz Group and enhance brand loyalty.
Our department Portfolio Management and ALM takes care for the following tasks
The department Portfolio Management and ALM at Mercedes\-Benz Financial Services Headquarter provides and maintains standardized methods for credit risk reserve setting in accordance with IFRS 9 and is also responsible for the monthly calculation of credit risk reserves, risk reporting as well as risk steering and economic capital for the global Mercedes\-Benz Financial Services entities. The maintenance and further development of risk tools, methods and databases as a prerequisite for the standardization and the digitalization of the risk reserve calculation are main activities in our department. In order to fulfill our business requirements and strategic targets we own the functional responsibility for several IT systems which run through recurring phases of updates and automation to ensure the application of high\-quality software and solutions.
- Your tasks as an intern will be:
- You support the monthly IFRS 9 provisioning calculation process
- Support in analyzing and monitoring the credit risk KPIs for local markets
- Support in preparation and review of MBFS financial statements regarding IFRS 9 and Mercedes\-Benz Group requirements
- Support in project activities, such as testing, documentation and analysis
- Assist in preparation of presentations for management
Qualifikationen* You are a student of Finance, Economics, Accounting, Controlling, Mathematics, or comparable education
- You are motivated to utilize your analytical and conceptual competencies. You enjoy working with numbers
- You gained know\-how in MS\-Office. Experience in SQL, VBA, Databricks, SAS or Power BI is beneficial
- Knowledge about risk management related topics as the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is beneficial
- As you are motivated to work in an international and multicultural team, you master English in speaking and writing. German languages skills are beneficial
- Strong ability to work independently, conscientiously, self\-driven and good communication skills
