Practice Nurse
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team.
Summerside Medical Centre is a 4 partner training practice in North East Edinburgh.
Due to retiral, we are looking for a Practice Nurse to join us for 20 hours per week, days flexible.
The Practice Nurse will be responsible for delivering compassionate care, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care, including health assessments, wound management, and health education
- Administer injections accurately and safely in accordance with prescribed protocols
- Assist doctors during consultations and minor procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Monitor patient vital signs and record medical histories accurately
- Maintain clinical supplies and ensure the cleanliness and organisation of treatment areas
- Support administrative tasks such as updating patient records and scheduling appointments

- Previous experience in chronic disease management would be an advantage.
