Practice Nurse

Practice Nurse – Part Time (20–25 hours per week)

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive nursing team within our busy GP practice. This is a 12\-month maternity leave cover position, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working as part of a close\-knit team and has experience and a keen interest in managing long\-term conditions, particularly diabetes.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in a range of routine and specialist nursing duties, including:

• Management of long\-term conditions, especially diabetes


• Chronic disease reviews


• Health promotion and disease prevention


• Cervical screening and routine immunisations (depending on experience)


• Supporting patients to manage their health proactively

About You

We are ideally looking for someone who:

• Is a Registered Nurse (NMC)


• Has previous experience working in general practice


• Has experience or a strong interest in diabetes care and other long\-term conditions


• Works well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team


• Is friendly, reliable, and patient\-focused

Working Hours \& Salary

• 20–25 hours per week (days and times negotiable)


• Salary competitive and dependent on experience
