An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full\-time Practice Manager to join our modern, state\-of\-the\-art specialist orthodontic practice in Airdrie.
M\-Brace Orthodontics is a well\-established orthodontic provider operating across the central belt, with practices in Bathgate, Glenrothes, Airdrie, and Dunfermline. As Practice Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and efficient day\-to\-day management of the Airdrie practice. Working closely with the Practice Owner, you will ensure the delivery of a high\-quality, patient\-focused service within a professional, welcoming, and well\-organised environment.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the practice in a dynamic and fast\-paced environment
- Providing effective leadership and line management for all team members in a professional and supportive manner
- Supporting staff development through training, mentoring, and performance management
- Leading on recruitment, rota management, appraisals, one\-to\-one meetings, and staff inductions
- Managing clinical governance, compliance, and risk assessment processes in line with current regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining and updating practice policies and procedures
- Overseeing financial operations, including NHS prior approvals, claim submissions, patient fee management, and payroll coordination
- Fostering a positive, collaborative team culture that promotes high morale and staff engagement
- Acting as Data Protection Officer, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection legislation
- Ensuring the delivery of high standards of clinical care and outstanding patient experience
- Supporting marketing initiatives to promote the practice to referring dentists and the wider community
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a management role, ideally within a dental or healthcare setting
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Effective leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of compliance, HR processes, and regulatory requirements
- Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
- Professional, reliable, and well\-presented
- Experience within an dental or health\-care environment
- GDC Registered
- Knowledge of NHS orthodontic systems, including prior approvals and claims
- Understanding of financial management within a dental setting
