The Practice Manager is responsible for the day\-to\-day smooth running of their practice, to include providing an excellent service to patients and managing the practice team. The Practice Manager will have the ability to take ownership and responsibility for the administration of the practice and will liaise with the clinical and non\-clinical team in the implementation and development of policies and procedures, as set out by Dental Care Ireland and other regulatory bodies. The Practice Manager will also be proactive in the ongoing development and growth of the practice.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Providing excellence in service through the efficient management of the practice, with a heavy focus on both customer service and administration.

  • Leading the dental team on a day to day basis \- it is envisaged that the role will primarily be based on reception providing patient support.

  • Providing reception and administrative training to any new members of staff..

  • Handling and resolving patient complaints effectively and in line with company guidelines.

  • Resolving any HR issues/staff complaints, seeking support where uncertainty from Head Office.

  • Overseeing any local administration tasks such as billing/claims/lodgements etc. and providing guidance to other team members in this area.

  • Liaising with Head Office on any admin duties e.g. billing/rostering/IT issues.

  • Overseeing and resolving any local facilities issues where necessary and seeking approval if applicable.

  • Ensuring practice compliance with all practice policies and procedures and guiding legislation.

  • Identifying and assisting in the implementation of practice growth initiatives.

  • Successful delivery of and reporting on agreed company KPIs.

  • Communicating regularly with Head Office on all of the above items.
Qualifications/Experience

Essential:

  • 1\+ years' people management experience.

  • 1\+ years' experience in a customer facing administrative position in a medical/dental setting.

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent.

  • Currently living in Ireland.

  • Fluent in written and oral English.

  • Familiar with reporting \& statistical compilation

  • Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and mail.
Desired:
  • Dental practice management experience is an advantage.

  • Dental receptionist or dental nursing experience is an added advantage.
