Practice Development Clinical Nurse Manager II
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and forward\-thinking Practice Development Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive team, dedicated to providing outstanding care for patients and residents at Marymount University Hospital \& Hospice. As an essential member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and embedding high\-quality, evidence\-based nursing practice across the organisation.
In this rewarding and influential position, you will lead quality improvement initiatives, coordinate education and training, and drive meaningful change in nursing practice. You will work closely with nursing, medical and allied health professionals, helping to ensure that care standards continuously evolve in line with best practice, regulatory requirements and the needs of those in our care.
The role includes maintaining a high\-quality Clinical Learning Environment for students from nursing and other disciplines, ensuring they receive structured guidance, meaningful learning opportunities, and strong mentorship throughout their clinical placements. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a supportive, inclusive atmosphere that promotes professional development, encourages reflective practice, and enhances the overall student learning experience while contributing to continuous service improvement.

Essential Criteria
- Be registered in the General and/or Psychiatric division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) AND
- Have a minimum of 5 years post\-registration nursing experience, of which a minimum of 2 years in clinical practice management, practice development, education, or quality improvement.
- Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification at Level 8 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) in nursing, healthcare quality, practice development, education or a related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience AND
- Demonstrate evidence of leading or contributing to quality improvement, clinical audit or practice development initiatives AND
- Previous experience in supporting nursing students as preceptor, mentor or within student allocations.
- Candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.
Experience working within Older Persons or Palliative Services is desirable but not essential.
