Power Electronics System Engineer
ALTEN is seeking a Power Electronics System Engineer to join our dynamic team in Gothenburg, working on\-site with a leading client in the automotive industry. In this role, you’ll drive the design and development of inverter systems, focusing on system architecture, requirement management, and safety\-critical design.
As a Power Electronics System Engineer, you will be a key player in our inverter system team, focusing on system design, requirement elicitation, and safety\-critical development. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of next\-generation automotive power electronics.
You’ll collaborate closely with cross\-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components. Using tools like MATLAB/Simulink and frameworks such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE, you’ll drive the development of robust and efficient inverter systems for electric drives.
Your main responsibilities:
- Design and develop inverter systems for automotive applications
- Lead requirement elicitation and breakdown for system\-level specifications
- Manage stakeholder communication and supplier coordination
- Ensure system safety design compliance with industry standards
- Support requirement management and traceability throughout the development lifecycle
You are a skilled Power Electronics Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering and a passion for automotive innovation.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Experience: Proven experience in power electronics (SW \& HW), electric drives, and requirement management
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 26262, ASPICE, and automotive power systems
- Tools \& Technologies: Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Carweaver
- Language: Fluent in English (written and spoken)
