Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions, providing specialised care to diverse patient groups. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to patient well\-being through expert assessment and treatment. The position involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and requires a compassionate approach to patient care across various settings, including clinics, nursing homes, and hospice care.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with foot and lower limb issues.
- Develop personalised treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and diagnostic imaging results.
- Perform minor surgical procedures, medication administration, and wound management as required.
- Provide specialised care for patients in senior care, hospice, and home care environments.
- Assist in clinical research projects aimed at advancing podiatric practices and treatments.
- Utilise medical imaging techniques to diagnose complex conditions accurately.
- Educate patients on foot health, preventative measures, and post\-treatment care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient management.
- Maintain detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Qualified Podiatrist with relevant registration and licensing.
- Proven experience in patient care within diverse settings such as clinics, nursing homes, or hospice environments.
- Knowledge of anatomy related to the lower limbs and feet.
- Experience or familiarity with clinical research methodologies is desirable.
- Skills in medical imaging interpretation relevant to podiatry are advantageous.
- Competence in medication administration and wound management.
- Strong understanding of public health principles related to foot health.
- Experience working with elderly or vulnerable populations, including senior care and home care services.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating compassion and professionalism at all times.
