Plumbing, Heating & Gas Engineer

Due to continued growth and exceptional demand, we are looking to expand our Mechanical Division with an experienced Mechanical Plumbing, Heating \& Gas Engineer.

The Role
You'll be working across a wide variety of domestic, commercial and industrial projects, from general plumbing repairs and heating maintenance through to large\-scale mechanical installations and plant room pipework.
The role will involve installing and maintaining a range of mechanical pipework systems, including:
- Copper pipework
- Stainless steel pipework
- Press\-fit systems
- Threaded steel pipework
- Pneumatic pipework
- Heating and mechanical services installations
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, repair and maintain plumbing and heating systems.
- Carry out Gas Safe inspections and remedial works.
- Install a variety of mechanical pipework systems to a high standard.
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot plumbing and heating systems.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
- Ensure all work complies with current safety standards and regulations.
- Respond to emergency call\-outs when required.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Work independently or as part of a skilled team.
- Deliver excellent workmanship and customer service at all times.

Essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Plumbing, Heating \& Gas Engineer.
- Current Domestic Gas qualifications (Commercial Gas qualifications preferred).
- Strong mechanical knowledge.
- Experience installing commercial and industrial pipework systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem\-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to safely use power tools and carry out manual handling.
- Commercial Gas qualifications.
- IPAF and PASMA certifications (training can be provided if required).
- Experience with renewable heating systems, particularly Air Source Heat Pumps.
The role is primarily Monday to Friday; however, due to the nature of our work, flexibility is essential. The successful candidate should be willing to work:
- Early starts when required.
- Late finishes to meet project deadlines.
- Occasional weekend work.
- Overtime when business needs require.
