Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Plumbing/Heating Engineer to join our team and deliver exceptional service in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems across various residential and commercial properties. Please note experience in first and second fix would also be great as we predominantly work on installation in new build properties around Denham and Home Counties.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, repair, and maintain plumbing and heating systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Diagnose system issues through root cause analysis to identify underlying problems quickly and accurately.
- Conduct system testing using advanced tools such as CAD schematics, LabVIEW, MATLAB, and Simulink to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining quality standards.
- Interpret technical schematics, mechanical drawings, and CAD models created with SolidWorks or Creo for precise installation and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with ASME codes \& standards during all phases of system design, installation, and maintenance.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Arduino\-based systems for automation tasks within heating or plumbing systems.
- Perform system design modifications using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools to optimize mechanical components' durability.
- Maintain detailed records of all service activities, inspections, repairs, and upgrades for quality assurance and future reference.
- Proven experience in plumbing and heating system installation, maintenance, or repair with a strong mechanical engineering background.
- Familiarity with project scheduling software and methodologies to manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques for diagnosing complex system failures.
- Hands\-on experience with CAD drafting tools such as SolidWorks or Creo for creating or interpreting schematics.
- Understanding of ASME codes \& standards relevant to plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), LabVIEW, MATLAB, Simulink, Arduino, and CNC machinery for automation and manufacturing processes.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing system design principles, mechanical engineering concepts, and manufacturing practices.
- Strong problem\-solving skills with the ability to analyze technical issues swiftly and implement effective solutions.
