Plant Area Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Area Manager to oversee daily operations within our horticultural offer. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and communication skills, with a passion for horticulture and customer service. This role involves managing a team, ensuring the smooth running of the plant area, and maintaining high standards of organisation and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations within the plant area, ensuring efficient workflow and organisation


• Manage and supervise staff, providing guidance and support to optimise productivity


• Implement merchandising strategies to enhance display and presentation of plants and gardening products


• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organisation within the plant area


• Communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and clients.


• Develop schedules for tasks and staff rotas to ensure timely completion of projects


• Monitor stock levels of plants, organise procurement as needed whilst maintaining control on margin erosion.


• Provide training to staff on horticultural best practices and customer service standards


• Assist in planning new projects or initiatives aimed at improving plant health, display aesthetics, or customer engagement


• Due to the seniority of the role there will be duty manager responsibilities

Qualifications

• Proven experience in horticulture and management.


• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently


• Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and suppliers


• Knowledge of merchandising principles related to plants and gardening products


• Passion for horticulture with an understanding of sustainable practices


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment

Pay: £32,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
