Planning Assistant

Mathiesons is a well\-established bakery manufacturing chilled desserts and ambient products for the country’s leading retailers. We make high quality, well known Scottish products and super market national own label chilled cakes.

We are currently recruiting for a Part Time planning assistant. Rate of pay is £12\.80 per hour and hours worked will be Tuesday \- Saturday 6\.30 am \-10\.30 am.

Purpose

To provide assistance and support to the Planning Department.

Accountabilities

• Process Customer orders into our MRP System ‘Smart Office Manager’.


• Measure customer orders against forecasts and highlight any potential issues.


• Monitor stock levels of Finished Goods and Work in Progress.


• Generate production plans for each area of the factory taking into account: Customer Orders, Current Stock Levels / Labour Availability. Distribute plans to Production Managers.


• Schedule workflow in accordance with customers out\-load requirements.


• Analysis and reporting on daily and weekly KPIS, Manufactured volumes, ATP, actual hours v standard labour, downtime and waste.


• Liaise with Production Managers to ensure attainment of plan.


• Liaise with customers and other parts of the supply chain.


• Prepare lists of required materials per department.


• Generate delivery notes for our distribution team.

Pay: £12\.80 per hour
