Planner-Traffic Manager-(FULL TIME)
Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail\-oriented Planner\- Traffic Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and management of supply chain logistics within our organisation. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials, optimise transportation processes, and maintain effective communication across departments. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in Traffic Management. Our clients are well\-established companies in the glass manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with safety and transport regulations
- Coordinate and supervise transport operations, acting as the link between client cargo needs and transport resources
- Resolve any incidents that may arise during the execution of duties
- Handle documentation related to transport
- Process Customs declarations for all EU\-UK/UK\-EU bound consignments
- Optimise supply chain processes
- Monitor and report logistics performance indicators
- Collaborate with the team to develop logistics solutions for clients
- Degree In logistics (preferred but not essential). Business Administration, or similar
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role within the logistics, distribution and transport sector, preferably in a ground transport agency
- Negotiation and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage a team of drivers
- Commercial and client\-orientated approach
- Ability to work under pressure and meet established deadlines
