Post: Physical Activity Consultant

Rate of Pay: £14\.40 to £15\.16 per hour depending on qualifications (KA Leisure provides workers with a minimum hourly rate of £13\.52 under the Living Wage Initiative. Term and Conditions apply)

Hours: Full time – 37 hours per week (Part\-time hours may be considered)

Duration: Temporary for 12 months (with possibility of extension)

Location: Requirement to travel across North Ayrshire

Role Summary:

• To proactively promote and deliver within the Health \& Wellbeing Service and all related projects and events

delivered by the Active Lifestyles Team

• Delivery of health checks and healthy lifestyle advice within local communities, referring to partner agencies

where appropriate

• Delivery of consultations and safe and effective exercise prescription for participants referred into the Active

North Ayrshire Physical Activity on Referral Programme

• Maintain databases and records within the Physical Activity programme ensuring compliance with

confidentiality and access
You Must Have • Qualification in physical activity, health, wellbeing or fitness (HND or CIMSPA Level2\)

Desirable • REPS Level 3 Qualification in Physical Activity on Referral or be working towards this.

(Assistance may be given to the right candidate in gaining this qualification – Training salary LW £13\.52 per hour)

PLEASE NOTE: Successful candidates will meet the cost of the relevant PVG/Police Scotland check; it will be deducted from salary following commencement of employment with the Company.
