Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of pharmacy services. Responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy protocols


• Assist with medication administration and provide guidance to patients regarding their prescriptions


• Support pharmacists in maintaining stock levels and organising medication supplies


• Ensure all dispensing activities comply with legal and safety standards


• Maintain detailed records of dispensed medications and patient interactions


• Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering medication\-related advice


• Assist in preparing medication packages, labels, and documentation for delivery or collection


• Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards at all times

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting


• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors


• Excellent communication skills to effectively support patients and team members


• Ability to work accurately under pressure in a busy environment


• Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality


• Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are desirable but not essential
