Job Overview
We are a local family owned pharmacy company seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our friendly and experienced pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting the pharmacy team in daily operations. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your pharmacy dispenser experience and contribute to the wellbeing and support of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols


• Assist with medication administration under supervision, ensuring correct dosages and patient instructions are provided


• Support patient care activities, including answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage


• Maintain meticulous records of dispensed medicines and ensure proper documentation is completed


• Organise stock levels, check expiry dates, and assist with inventory management


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including hygiene standards and confidentiality protocols


• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient service

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a pharmacy dispenser setting is required


• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to prevent dispensing errors


• Excellent communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients and team members


• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment


• Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are advantageous but not essential for entry\-level candidates

Licence/Certification:

• NVQ2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Dispensing (required)
