Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail\-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. IMPORTANT \- we are looking for someone we can grow with, who is looking to do further courses and help manage the dispensary. We are looking for someone who can take on responsibility and is extremely organised.

Duties

• Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements


• Assist with medication administration under supervision, ensuring correct dosages and patient instructions


• Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage


• Prepare prescription labels and packaging, maintaining meticulous records of dispensed medicines


• Support inventory management by checking stock levels and ordering supplies as needed


• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with data protection regulations


• Ensure the pharmacy workspace is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is highly desirable


• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to prevent errors in dispensing


• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals


• Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast\-paced environment


• A recognised qualification or certification in pharmacy assistance or related field is preferred
