Pharmacy Dispenser

We have an opportunity for a qualified pharmacy dispenser to join our team based at our pharmacy in Falkland, Fife.

The successful candidate will be professional, friendly and can work effectively as part of a team. They will also have excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.

The position is average 38 hours per week, permanent role (subject to a successful 3 month probationary period).

The role includes 1 in 2 Saturdays 9am\-1pm and flexibility to cover staff holidays, is essential.

You may also be occasionally required to provide holiday cover in our other branches.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Dispense prescription medication to patients under direction of the responsible pharmacist and in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure safe supply to patients


• Carry out day\-to\-day activities connected with the preparation and supply of medicines


• Perform administrative duties, including answering phones, receiving and inputting prescription orders, operating cash registers, and restocking inventory


• Liaise with healthcare providers and patients to obtain correct prescription information


• Place orders for additional drugs as directed by the pharmacist


• Maintains electronic patient information


• Completes patients' sales transactions for purchase of prescription and over\-the\-counter medications as well as other pharmaceutical products


• Work as part of a team supporting the Pharmacist in providing excellent customer service \& patient care to help grow the pharmacy business.


• Other duties as required by the pharmacist.

• NVQ Level 2 (required)

Pay: From £12\.71 per hour
