Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and detail\-oriented Pharmacy Dispensers to join our team in Cirencester. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with pharmacy technician experience or those looking to develop their skills within a professional healthcare environment. Duties

• Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy protocols


• Assist with medication preparation and provide guidance to patients on proper usage


• Support patient care by answering queries, offering advice, and ensuring confidentiality


• Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and update patient files accordingly


• Prepare and label prescriptions, ensuring correct dosage and instructions are included


• Manage stock levels, reorder supplies as necessary, and ensure the pharmacy remains well\-organised


• Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient support


• Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the pharmacy environment


• Help with claiming daily ETP prescriptions, counting and safety storing 'green and blue prescriptions in an organised manner.


• Sending off claims to NHSBSA at end of each month.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role is imperative.


• Knowledge of medication procedures and pharmacy software systems


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy


• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members


• A commitment to patient care, confidentiality, and professional integrity


• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team


• Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy practice are preferred but not essential


• Good communications skills


• Experience of dispensing in the UK minimum period of one year.
