We are offering an exciting opportunity for aspiring pharmacy professionals to undertake a Pharmacy Dispenser Apprenticeship. This paid position is designed to provide practical experience and foundational knowledge in pharmacy operations, medication management, and patient care. The apprenticeship aims to develop skilled individuals who are committed to delivering high\-quality healthcare support within a community or hospital pharmacy setting.

Duties

• Assist qualified pharmacy staff with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently


• Prepare and label prescriptions in accordance with legal and organisational standards


• Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring patient safety


• Maintain accurate records of dispensed medicines and patient interactions


• Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on over\-the\-counter products


• Organise stock levels, check expiry dates, and assist with inventory management


• Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of medicines and equipment


• Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and regulations

Skills

• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or related role is advantageous but not essential


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail when handling prescriptions and medication records


• Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients and healthcare professionals


• Ability to work effectively within a team environment while following instructions precisely


• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care principles is desirable


• Willingness to learn about pharmaceutical legislation, safety protocols, and customer service standards
