Duties

• Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements


• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and distribution


• Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient information


• Provide guidance and support to patients regarding medication usage and safety


• Ensure the pharmacy environment complies with health and safety regulations


• Support inventory management by checking stock levels and organising supplies


• Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions


• Uphold confidentiality and maintain professionalism in all interactions with patients and staff

Experience

• Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser, trainees also considered


• Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy software systems is advantageous


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications


• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals


• A compassionate approach to patient care, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times


• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team within a busy environment
