Part time Counter Assistant

We are looking for a part\-time Counter Assistant to join our busy, independent community pharmacy in Downend, Bristol.

Pay Rate: £12\.75 per hour

About the Role

As a Counter Assistant, you will play a key part in the day\-to\-day running of the pharmacy and supporting our patients. This includes:

• Customer Service \& Patient Support


• Welcoming patients and providing a helpful, friendly service.


• Answering queries face to face and over the phone.


• Triaging patient questions: deciding if you can help, if it should be passed to a dispenser, or if the pharmacist is required.


• Dispensary \& Clinical Services Support


• Helping patients with Pharmacy First, flu and COVID vaccinations, weight management and other services by booking or signposting them.


• Supporting the dispensary team by preparing prescriptions for collection.


• Till \& Cash Handling


• Operating the till accurately.


• Cashing up daily and completing the cash sheet.


• Stock Management


• Unpacking and checking deliveries.


• Pricing and merchandising stock.


• Keeping shelves tidy and clean.


• Carrying out regular date checks.


• Teamwork


• Working closely with pharmacists, dispensers, and other counter staff to ensure smooth running of the pharmacy.


• Helping maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for all patients.

Pay: £12\.75 per hour
