Job summary

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self\-motivated and with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our Pharmacy team at Yeovil District Hospital. This is full\-time role.
The post holder will work flexibly to deliver an effective Pharmacy service. This role will be alternating on a rotational basis between Dispensary, Distribution and Goods In.
Your Main Tasks;
Dispensary: Dispense prescriptions accurately for hospital patients and clinics.
Distribution: Top up ward stocks and pack medicine boxes for courier delivery.
Goods In: Receive, check, and store incoming medicines and IV fluids safely.
Main duties, tasks \& skills required

Dispense prescriptions accurately for in patients and outpatient clinics and will assist in a range of other Dispensary related duties as required.
You will carry out a medicines top\-up service on wards and will assist with other medicines related duties i.e. medicines expiry checks, stock checks and returning medicines.
Receiving deliveries of pharmaceutical goods to support the store person.

The dispensary role is to participate in day\-to\-day routine activities of the dispensary. To work within the team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and other Pharmacy Assistants, dispensing prescriptions accurately for inpatient and outpatient clinics. After appropriate training, completing the Dispensary Accuracy Assessment.
The Distribution role is to participate in the day\-to\-day routine activities of the distribution area supplying stock medicines via medicines top up service and e\-mailed order requests to all SFT wards, which include Community Hospitals. Prepare ward transit boxes ensuring courier collection times are met within specified times.
The Goods In role is to participate in the effective day\-to\-day running of the Pharmacy store and Intravenous Fluid Store, ensuring the correct receipt of incoming pharmaceutical products whilst ensuring correct storage and effective stock rotation.

Qualifications
Essential
Good general education to include Science, Maths and English at grades 9 to 4\.
Must have NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent inhouse training.
Must be able to communicate in English Language, both written and verbally appropriate to the post.
