The Role
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering an efficient, friendly, and professional service to our customers. Your duties will include:
- Serving customers at the front counter and providing excellent customer service
- Receiving prescriptions and handing out dispensed items
- Supporting customers with minor ailments and over\-the\-counter product selection, in line with training and SOPs
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and monitor expiry dates of medicines
- Assisting with the dispensing and labelling of prescriptions when required
- Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and processing orders
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- All staff are expected to work flexibly across the pharmacy to support safe and effective daily operations.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling medicines
- Understanding of confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A strong team player who enjoys working in a small, close\-knit team
- Previous experience working in a community pharmacy is essential.
Proposed Shift Pattern:
Monday: 13:40 – 18:10 (4\.5 hours)
Wednesday: 09:00 – 14:00 (5 hours)
Thurs: 13:40 – 18:10 (4\.5 hours)
Saturday: 09:00 – 13:00 (4 hours)
Total hours: 18 hours
\*Shift times may vary slightly in line with business needs, with reasonable notice provided.

Pay: £12\.71\-£13\.00 per hour
