Pharmacy Assistant

Are you looking to start or grow a rewarding career in community pharmacy? Allied Pharmacy on Green Lane is looking for a friendly, reliable Pharmacy Assistant to join our welcoming team and help us deliver excellent care to the local community.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you'll be a familiar face for our patients and a valued member of the pharmacy team, supporting the day\-to\-day running of the branch and ensuring every customer receives a warm, professional service.

Key responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers at the counter, offering advice on over\-the\-counter products where appropriate


• Accurately receive, process and hand out prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist


• Support the dispensing team with labelling, assembly and stock rotation


• Manage stock, including ordering, receiving deliveries and checking expiry dates


• Maintain a clean, tidy and well\-presented pharmacy environment


• Handle confidential patient information with discretion and in line with GDPR


• Promote pharmacy services such as flu vaccinations, NHS services and healthy living advice

What we're looking for:

• A friendly, approachable manner and genuine desire to help people


• Strong communication and customer service skills


• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately


• Reliability, honesty and a willingness to work as part of a team


• Basic IT skills and a willingness to learn pharmacy systems


• Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail healthcare setting is welcome but not essential, as full training will be provided


• A recognised pharmacy qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2\) is desirable but not required
