Due to continued growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic and patient\-focused Pharmacist to join our expanding team and help develop our pharmacy and clinical services.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation at an important stage of development following our recent GPhC pharmacy registration.

The successful candidate will support the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy while helping to develop and expand clinical services, including smoking cessation, weight management, and other pharmacy\-led healthcare initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense and clinically check prescription medicines in accordance with GPhC standards and legal requirements.

  • Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient supply of medicines to patients.

  • Provide professional medicines advice and counselling to patients and healthcare professionals.

  • Support the delivery of pharmacy services, including smoking cessation and weight management programmes.

  • Conduct medication reviews and contribute to medicines optimisation activities.

  • Maintain accurate patient medication records and pharmacy documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with GPhC Standards, NHS requirements, GDPR, and pharmacy SOPs.

  • Support clinical governance, incident reporting, risk management, and quality improvement activities.

  • Work collaboratively with prescribers, healthcare professionals, NHS partners, and commissioners.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new pharmacy services.
Desirable Skills \& Experience

The following are desirable but not essential:

  • Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification.

  • Experience in smoking cessation services.

  • Experience in weight management services.

  • Knowledge of distance\-selling pharmacy operations.

  • Experience working with NHS and public health contracts.

  • Experience with online prescribing and remote consultations.

  • Previous experience as a Responsible Pharmacist.
Essential Requirements
  • Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

  • Excellent clinical knowledge and understanding of medicines management.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.

  • Good organisational and time\-management skills.

  • Competent IT skills and ability to use pharmacy systems.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).

  • Hold valid GPhC registration.

Probation \& Progression

An initial three\-month probation period will apply. Following successful completion, there is potential for increased hours and progression to a permanent full\-time position.
